Cards Cards and More Cards.......

Hello Everyone!!

Yesterday on the way home from work I decided that I would lock myself in my craft room for the weekend only to come out at meal times and for toilet breaks.....  well that was not meant to be, but that's what happens when you have a family to worry about!

Here are a few cards that I made last night...

Have I told you how much I love the Create a Critter cartridge ??

this one is just MOO-velous.. he he

They all have glossy accents on the nose and spots, so they took a while to dry.  Then today I made this next one...

and this one...

and this one...

This last one is for a special friends Birthday, the I decided to box them up and give them to her as a gift. Hope she like them!

I got this idea from Robyn over at MPS, she created this style of packaging in one for her older video's, thanks Robyn :-)

Till next time, happy crafting :-)

While my stuff is drying......

Hi Everyone!

Hope you have all had a great week.  I have been busy with family and work all week, so i thought i would come home and lock myself away in my craft room tonight.  I have been creating a few cards and layout to share with you all, however they are going to take a while to dry.  So in the mean time I thought I would share my craft room with you all.

I live in an old style Australian war home, the style with the closed in veranda.   The room is too small for a bedroom, so I took it over about 5 years ago when all I have was one table and a few shoe boxes of craft supplies.

Well as you can see from the pictures below, I have a few more supplies these days ;-))

The first one is a picture of my desk from the other end of the room (as I said, it's not a big room)

And this picture is of the other end of the room.....

This one is taken looking towards the back end of the room from the doorway, and as you can see I have an obsession with card stock and pattern paper :-))  I keep some of my mounted stamps in the black stackable trays...

And this one is a canvas that sits on top of my pattern paper..  these are my all time favourite photo's of my daughter and I, and I love the the little pumpkins I made last Halloween.....

And this is how I store some of my larger punches and where my cricut cartridges live.  In the draws I have my Stampin' up Ink Pads and other Inks, paints and more mounted Stamps ...

and under my desk, there is more stuff!  If you look close enough you can see the sign that my DH had made for me, it says " Go away I'm Scrapbooking" lol, he is so good to me...  You can also see my Mini DVD player that keeps me company late nights!

So that's my craft room, not very big, but it will do me for a while yet (Until i can kick one of the kids out, then I'll take over there room! lol ;-))  I will make a video one day that shows exactly what i hide in the cubes and draws, and also show you what is on the shelves..

Till next time stay safe and happy crafting :-)

Hello, I hope your all having a relaxing Sunday, I know I am.  My DD and I had a pyjama day today, she sat around playing on the computer,  DH went to war for a few hours, he plays Warhammer 40K,  and I sat in my Scrapbooking room creating and watching DVD's in between making making these cards and making Chocolate Cup cakes for Valentines days.

Here are some of my creations from today...

I like this one......  it's soo cute with the fluff and the PKS face.

then I made these random one's.......

and this one I made for my niece who is 4 tomorrow

The Happy Birthday banner I cut for Once upon a Princess cartridge and used My Pink Stamper  "Happy Birthday" stamp from the Family and Friends collection.

So that was my Sunday, I hope yours is/was just as productive, back to work for me in the morning, so not sure when the next time I will post.

Till next time, take care

A Productive afternoon after all......

Hi everyone!   Saturday is always a busy day here in this household, house work, take DD to dance, grocery shopping, washing......  but this afternoon I decided that I would head into my scraproom and make a couple of cards.

It's Valentines Day on Monday, so I thought I had better get a start on making DH a card, so here's what i came up with.....

What do you think ??  I hope he likes it.  Not that you can see it, but i sprayed the red bodice with Glimmer Mist so it has a bit of a sparkle to it.

I also made this.....

And this is a side view

I made this for my gorgeous niece who is turning 4 this week.  I plan on buying some cute earrings and using this as the gift bag! I really like the feathers on this, it's just way to cute!!!!

Then it was onto this one....

This is a layout I made of my DD's dance(1 of 4 dances that she does), the photo's were taken from a Hip Hop performance she did at a local fete in October of last year.  I just love the dance school's colours, Pink and Black....  My 2 favourite colours!

So a productive afternoon was had by me, not only did I make 2 cards(1 that am saving for tomorrow) but I made a gift bag and a Layout, I am one happy girl.  I hope you are all enjoying your Saturday night.  Till next time stay safe x x

On My way back...

In October 2009 my mother-in-law was diagnosed with brain cancer.  She was operated on the very next morning.  For the next 6 months she had radiation and chemo therapy and was lucky to be a part of a trial program, which gave everyone hope.  Her MRI's were all clear, and we thought that a miracle had happened in our family, but this was not to be.  In September 2010 her MRI had shown that the cancer was back with vengeance, it was almost twice the original size.  The doctors operated once again but could not get it all out this time, so unfortunately, we knew that our time with this beautiful woman was limited.  On boxing day 2010, my mother-in-law had a seizure and ended up back in hospital. The doctors told our family that the end was near and that we should cherish every moment possible with her.  On 19th January, 2011 at 12.15pm she left us to go to a better place.  So now that my family and I have said our goodbyes, and we are coming to terms with the loss of this amazing woman, i feel that it may appropriate for me to start blogging and try and start creating again.  So stay tuned, and i'll be back real soon......  real soon! :-)
